Lately, i have been in the company of great men indeed. Some of them are more qualified, more talented, more experienced, more intelligent than I am. To sit down with them, exchange views and ideas with them was one of the most revealing experiences I have. To sit with those great men, and exchange views, it enriched my life, it fortified my morality, gave me courage to do better even at my best
These are the privileges I experienced which made some people think I am specially created. Of course, everyone in life who could eat from the mouth and defeacate from the buttocks is specially created beacause he's been distinguished from animals in the bush. Thus, everyone is created specially and not ordinarily we only need to pick up the ordinary privilege to make ourselves extraordinary.
2017 might have been so challenging for you as it was for me but trust me, in as much as you prepare strongly for the challenges, you will overcome it and your success would be inevitable.
Yes, you really tried, you weren't lazy, you gave it all you could to get it done but yet, it still didn't work out 🤦🏼♂🤦🏼♂🤦🏼♂..... don't be discouraged. It's just few steps more to get to the done city. Keep giving it a trial. I'll like to remind you that: that legend who invented electrical bulb (Thomas Edison) tried 999 times and he failed before he got it right at the thousandth time. So, never get tired, don't be perplexed, keep pushing harder, success is waving at you....go and embrace it.
Below are some points which I tagged:5 Commandments for 2018
1) _Know your worth:_ When you realize the fact that you are valuable, you are worthy among peers, you are important, it's then that you will do ordinary things extraordinarily and make yourself stand out when others are standing.
2) _Move with the Change:_ Yes, you expected the gold but you later got the bronze...we care less about that! It's happened, please summon the courage, pick the lessons from the past and move with the change as you prepare for subsequent opportunities. What people are much more concerned about is the way you turn the change to stage. Not just a stage for talent display, but that which people see you higher and that you have moved up due to the fact that you have experienced hardship from the past.
3) _Love & Celebrate yourself:_ You gave yourself a target, it was met, please show love to yourself. Go to a nice galleria, fastfoods, swimming pool, beach, etc enjoy yourself and feel loved.
ofcourse, no one would give you the most expected happiness but yourself.
4) _Be prayerful:_ Many at times, people envision greatness, they want it as fast as they want their daily foods but they forget the fact that only God makes every vision attainable and easier. When you see it far, hard, tough and impossible, pray to God in the best way you can, He will surely make it nearer, softer and possible.
5) _Create your own opportunity:_ Many of my friends will tell me you are fond of this quote but I tell them this: when you rely on people's privileges, it fades and expires when we least expect or want it to but when you create yours, you are in charge, it gives you comfort to control, relax and moderate your pursuits. Remember what I said in my introduction above, the great men I spent time with were part of the opportunities I experienced and enjoyed but that doesn't really make me extraordinary but what makes me is the fact that: I created my own opportunity from theirs! That's just one of the secret of success in life. Many people fail because they have relented on their efforts on building their personal tags but rather jingle with the available ones.
Leaders, mentees, friends and fellow compatriots, these are my words for you as we begin this year. I hope it motivates you as I wish to hear your testimonies this time next year. Remember, you are born to be great, make it happen. You have the sword in your hand, go confidently to the battle, that's your only opportunity to be the champion.
